Thank you for taking an interest in making our community a better place! The ECKAN Volunteer Center serves as a hub for volunteer opportunities in Franklin County. Individuals, families, youth groups, and businesses are all encouraged to share the spirit of volunteerism!
The Volunteer Center meets the following objectives:
1. Connect people with opportunities to serve by recruiting and referring volunteers to agencies in the community, by participating in national days of service (such as Make a Difference Day) and by promoting special events that are in need of volunteers.
2. Build the capacity for effective local volunteering management through trainings to local agencies.
Mission Statement
To stimulate available resources for individuals of all ages, to attain skills, knowledge, attitudes and motivations and to secure meaningful volunteer opportunities.
