The Ottawa Volunteer Center inspires, equips, and mobilizes people to take action and change their community for the better.

Thank you for taking an interest in making our community a better place! The ECKAN Volunteer Center serves as a hub for volunteer opportunities in Franklin County. Individuals, families, youth groups, and businesses are all encouraged to share the spirit of volunteerism! The Volunteer Center meets the following objectives:

Connect people with opportunities to serve by recruiting and referring volunteers to agencies in the community. If you are a non-profit and want to partner with Ottawa Volunteer Center download and submit our Memorandum of Understanding. If you are a non-profit seeking volunteer assistance download and submit our Project Request Form.

Organize volunteer events in conjunction with:

bullet Martin Luther King Jr. Day

bullet 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance

bullet Global Youth Service Day

bullet National Volunteer Week
bullet

Promote and/or host special events that are in need of volunteers or that meet a unique need in the community. See the Volunteer Connection Calendar for details.

Build the capacity for effective local volunteering management through trainings to local agencies.
