Head Start Director

 

 

Head Start and Early Head Start offer low-income children and families comprehensive and intentional support, designed to promote self sufficiency, healthy growth and development, and success for future experiences.  Services are offered through preschool, child care and/or home visitation.  Highly trained staff offers comprehensive programming in the following areas:  Health, Dental, Parent Education/Involvement, Nutrition, Social Services Support, Disability Support, Transitions, and Education.

 

Parents and family members are encouraged to participate at all levels of the program, through volunteering, training/education opportunities, governance, and many other areas.  Families are supported in identifying strengths and all families participate in a goal setting, and achieving, program. 

 

Service options at ECKAN Head Start and ECKAN Early Head Start are as follows:

Head Start Center Based Preschool:  Ottawa, West Franklin USD, Anderson County, Osawatomie, Paola and Emporia.

 

Home Based Head Start:  Franklin County, Coffey County, Osage County

 

Home Based Early Head Start:  Lyon County, Osage County, Miami County, Franklin County, Douglas County

 

Early Head Start Child Care:  Douglas County, Franklin County, Lyon County, Miami County
